Sorry to hear about the passing of former Taoiseach John Bruton. He positively impacted Anglo-Irish relations, and the Framework he agreed with John Major in 1995 was a crucial step in the road to the GFA. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

The Government will support Gavin Robinson's Bill which seeks to create a dedicated route for eligible Irish nationals who wish to apply for British citizenship. If passed, this legislation would support the close historical and geographical ties between Ireland and the UK.

Tomorrow I will be introducing the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation) Bill to allow for the reformation of Stormont.
The Bill only has a single clause: to extend the period of time Stormont can legitimately come back until the 8th February.
