I live in Scotland, and this song always used to make me feel a little awkward at Hogmanay. But this particular performance absolutely melted my old cynical heart. It now makes me think of Brexit, and it brings tears to my eyes.
(And of course it reminds me of Emeka Ogboh's Song Of The Union, too, which I think I first found out about from you. So many thanks!)
