RT by @StevensHelga: So many of you know that I do in fact have a Ukrainian girlfriend. I met her on Lviv's Telegram News channel. Then we originally started talking because she wanted to practice English online, then she wanted to meet to practice, then we started a relationship.
From my experience with Julia I can tell you:
She doesn't want to leave Ukraine. Not all women do. Many Ukrainian men send their families abroad for protection. Trains are full of Ukrainian women and children who travel back and forth from Poland to Ukraine, or Hungary to Ukraine and make the trip almost every weekend.
I asked Julia after we began our relationship if she wanted to leave Ukraine, because at this point it's not about me, it's about her and her daughter. She said no, so we're staying here.
Now that we're in a relationship she knows how much I make, yet she has never once asked me for money, nor has she ever asked me to buy her something.
The only thing she wants out of our relationship is the same thing anybody would want out of a relationship; honesty, respect, and loyalty.
So please don't try to stereotype Ukrainian women. This photo below of a Ukrainian mother taking her daughter to the train station to meet her grandparents who are leaving for Poland while she stays to fight should tell you something about Ukrainian women.
