A small clarification: I am quoted in a statement on the GCP making connections proposals. The statement is in a personal capacity, not as group or council leader, no votes in group or council have taken place this week. It’s been a busy week, with great conference & Mid-Beds!

Feeling deeply angry and frustrated this morning listening to news across the networks on Gove’s proposals for a “super-squad” of government planners being sent to Cambridge, when local leaders have still been told nothing. The lack of respect for local people is breathtaking.

Just wanted to say publicly that I am deleting Twitter from my phone. I am utterly horrified by Musk’s comments about Dr Fauci, so while I am reluctant to loose contact completely with Twitter connections I want to drastically reduce the time I spend on the platform.
