While we are happy to see Hoekstra speak out in favor of the European Values, we'd like to remind him that he chose not to defend these values when he vetoed the mention of the dangers for LGBTIQ+ ppl in Qatar, and refrained from requesting Qatar not to prosecute LGBTIQ+ ppl.
