Following the 7.8 magnitude #earthquake that hit Türkiye and Syria this morning, Türkiye activated the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism for emergency assistance.
We have already mobilised rescue teams from the Netherlands and Romania, who are on their way.

"10 urban search and rescue teams have been mobilised from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania to support the first responders on the ground.
Italy and Hungary have offered their rescue teams to Türkiye as well."
