The European Parliament holds debates on all sorts of issues, even those which are trivial or simply idiotic. However, the upcoming vote on an issue as important as the amendment of the European Treaties has not, as yet, been preceded by any broader discussion in the EP. Is a short debate on the day of the vote enough given the significance of the issue? Europeans have a right to know what the future holds from Brussels bureaucrats.
