Today, we disbursed a new tranche of €600 million in Macro-Financial Assistance to Ukraine

More is coming - we proposed an additional €9 billion loan for 🇺🇦 in 2022.

Beyond relief, we'll work on a reconstruction platform to help rebuild Ukraine as a free, democratic country.

Every 3rd Thursday of May, people wear this traditional cloth as a expression of unity and national identity.

We discussed step by step the EU’s plan for relief and reconstruction in Ukraine put forward yesterday by the @EU_Commission. 

A new disbursement of macro-financial assistance is coming very soon. We continue to stand firmly by Ukraine’s side.

We will increase the EU-wide target for renewable energy from 40 to 45% by 2030.
 
We are also doubling our domestic hydrogen production target.
 
We aim to produce, transport and import a total of 20 million tons of renewable hydrogen by 2030.

Member States are increasing defence spending.

This money should be spent in a coordinated way and address capability gaps identified by the EU and NATO.

We will set up a taskforce with Member States to coordinate immediate replenishment and procurement needs.
