In Europe and around the world, we are witnessing terrible anti-Semitic demonstrations. What happened in Dagestan last night and the hundreds of incidents reported in many European cities and squares are a wake-up call that we cannot ignore. We need firmness and rigor against those who believe it is possible to fuel ethnic and religious persecution in our democracies.
Europe will not allow it.
I stand beside the Jewish communities in these hours of fear and pain.
