@alistairjcbrown @LilyPinkBaker No, it was a genuine apology for having caused any distress with the mail. It hadn't occurred to me (honestly) that it would upset someone, but I accept that it did and apologised

I guess tweets aren't the best way to convey that.

@LilyPinkBaker @cullen_annette @allianceparty You didn't bring it to me? You tweeted it (incl. my address). I didn't belittle your concerns at all: I simply explained why we do it (it's usually well received and relatively unintrusive), acknowledged that you were distressed, and apologised to you. Anyway, all the best.

@LilyPinkBaker @cullen_annette @allianceparty I had apologised for any distress it caused under another comment, so I think that's quite unfair.

I simply said that it's usually well received. Not sure why you'd frame that as aggressive - it wasn't. I was just surprised that you'd found it upsetting.

@LilyPinkBaker Honestly? No. Popping a note through a letter box is one of the least intrusive forms of contact. People get mail of all kinds every day.

I'm sorry it caused you distress: it certainly wasn't intended to.

RT @micky_murray: I love seeing these painted utility boxes along the Lisburn Road.

I worked with Council on this project which seen a number of these old green, graffiti covered, utility boxes transformed into works of art along the Lisburn Road right up to Finaghy. t.co/jZ0dkARVyP

@cullen_annette @LilyPinkBaker @allianceparty We've done this for years and it has always been very well received.

This is the first complaint I can recall in nearly 30 years of campaigning.

RT @fionamcateer: With only 5 days left of the campaign it was lovely for myself and @AllianceTitanic to catch up and share some of our canvassing stories with @naomi_long. If you want politics that works on the 18th May 🗳️ t.co/Fp5hWveCuG

RT @Lauren_Gray83: Juggling three means today turned into Addie's first ever canvass session. She complimented her favourite gardens, found some stones, quickly learnt @DannyDonnelly1 is a talker and kept us all working hard.

Her post canvassing nap was 👌 t.co/kHqZeE3FYG

RT @ClaireHackett_: Headed into earlier to do some canvassing, and my car broke down! So for now, just going to have to make do with whatever I can manage on Shank’s Mare. Living in a rural area, not having a car is a massive pain in the posterior…

RT @caolanalliance: As someone who suffers with Long Covid, and who was misdiagnosed with ME because they’re so similar, I completely understand the suffering and misunderstanding around this horrible illness. A clinical lead for ME would change my life and many others across NI. t.co/fUflJoG95V

RT @SteveDonnelly95: Great to host Alliance Deputy Leader Stephen Farry in Trillick as momentum builds to elect Joyce Donnelly here in West Tyrone.

Better is possible, but only if you vote for it. Joyce is committed to building a shared society and is a strong advocate for our rural communities 🗳 t.co/AUNML4p0dp

RT @DannyDonnelly1: Just finished our last scheduled canvass for these two wonderful women on Coast Road in Larne. @niamhs90 and @votemulvenna are incredibly hard working and would make a brilliant team for the area on Mid and East Antrim Council. t.co/KqSVdKc8JR
