France has 92% of the quota for cod in English Channel. in the Celtic sea they get 3x the British allocation of Dover sole, 4x more cod, & 5x more Haddock.

I work in the fishing industry, many fish merchants went to the wall as the majority of their customers were in hospitality, pub's restaurants, hotels.
