“So intellectually bankrupt are these preening, self-absorbed and empty-headed pantaloons – on both sides of the politics - they have become incapable of a single truthful message: like any ordinary family, the nation needs to live within its means.”

Kemi Badenoch has shown what she is made of by taking the fight to Labour
Her response to that serial political stirrer, Sir Chris Bryant, perhaps showed her true calibre as a politician

RT by @john4brexit: Brexit was a vote of confidence in the UK by the British people🇬🇧
A conviction that we should be masters of our own fate.

Read my piece below which shows how that conviction is paying dividends,
& how only Conservatives will ensure it continues to do so👇

RT by @john4brexit: Ever greater funding for a public sector which is stagnant at best. Britain is run for the benefit of those who work for the state.

RT by @john4brexit: "Hunt and Sunak are to blame for forecasting errors, says OBR chief"

Not how I'd put it (and not the only source of forecast errors), but an important point here: the has to take government spending plans at face value, however implausible...

RT by @john4brexit: FYI, here's an updated chart comparing and area (excluding Ireland's dodgy data) since 2010.

The two major breaks over this period were i) the eurozone debt crisis (which shifted the region to a lower path) and ii) Covid (which briefly closed the gap, before the UK rebounded strongly again).

(No significant impact from in these numbers, but I've marked the date of the referendum anyway.)

RT by @john4brexit: His Majesty’s first three overseas State visits were all to climate change conferences.
First two of these State visits were to the two main EU capitals, none to the Commonwealth.

Tragically, Sunak’s approach will satisfy nobody,& won’t change the country noticeably before the election. This disaster is theTory Left: they have declared war on their own voters,& will be held responsible for the catastrophe about to engulf the party.

Is Kemi Badenoch a new kind of Tory?- Worth a read. She certainly listens to my business network-entrepreneurs/family businesses. Btw I did my homework by candle light, but that was because the U.K. socialist gov presided over endless strikes

Rupert Soames to lead scandal-hit CBI. NOT CHANGING ITS SPOTS CBI appoints arch Remainer. Not surprising since there is record foreign ownership of CBI multi nationals.
