Not quite as bad as it sounds (distorted by swings in exports and inventories, follows growth of 0.6% in Q2), but still worse than expected.

Yes, but not all are. More people without productivity gain makes everyone poorer on average &amp; means there are less essential services to go around eg NHS - it’s not rocket science
