Trade is good generally, both exports and imports are a benefit. Good for U.K. producers, good for inflation and the cost of living, good for competition and productivity , good for consumers.

Rachel Reeves has confidently set out a plan for growth – albeit one thin on detail- IRONICALLY MS REEVES, will have to adopt Truss growth agenda if she is to stand any chance of delivering

RT by @john4brexit: 🧵OK so the IMF’s latest forecasts for the UK economy are… weird.
I wrote about them this morning in the article linked below👇
But long & short of it is the economists seem to have baked some v out-of-date interest rate projections into their models…

Usual IMF nonsense. Cumulative growth would put the U.K. up the league table , but the figures don’t even include the U.K. upward revision. Pointless. Political.

Brexit has been a success (UK grew faster than Germany or France & saved £24 billion per year) , Net Zero is a disaster, subsidised by taxpayers and levies, making the poorest , poorer & is a drag on the economy. Labour should be ashamed of themselves (PS the Tories also).

The good, the bad and the ugly from Rachel Reeves’ conference speech - CapX-A sensible ‘industrial strategy’ would simply be about creating the right environment, including good infrastructure, low and simple taxes, and light regulation. Not picking winners

I don’t know who you are. You must have mistaken me for someone else. In 2015 the BCC set out its minimum criteria for Cameron’s deal, he completely failed. The alternative was leave. Personally I have been a Eurosceptic since I was on Thatcher’s Deregulation Task Force decades ago.

Unfunded public sector pensions are now a liability of more than national debt. Public sector size and pay is out of control & tax is at its highest since WW2. The gov should have gone for growth, austerity is self defeating & will now result in job cuts.
