Många röster har nu höjts för att stoppa och utreda finansieringen av UNRWA, efter det framkommit att medarbetare hjälpt och firat Hamas. Det är dock ganska tyst från vänsterhållet. För två veckor röstade S, C, MP och V mot detta ⬇️- att utreda UNRWA:s verksamhet. Trots att jag gång på gång slagit larm om korruption, antisemitism och terrorhetsande inom UNRWA så såg väl inte vänstern det komma, antar jag.

Palestinierna måste få humanitär hjälp. Mycket hjälp. Men UNRWAs förtroende är förbrukat. EU måste hitta andra organisationer och sätt att hjälpa palestinierna, än via UNRWA. Vi kan inte ge denna organisation fler chanser. Biståndet måste värnas - det är så vi värnar mottagarna, det är så vi värnar palestinierna i nöd.

BRA NYHET IGÅR: Äntligen har Turkiets parlament röstat ja till Sveriges Natoansökan. Det är ett mycket välkommet beslut.
Nu är vi ett steg närmre Natomedlemskap. Medlemskapet kommer att innebära att Sverige går in i en tryggare tid och att NATO går in i en starkare tid. Hoten ökar och vi behöver därför ett starkt försvarssamarbete. NATO-medlemskapet ger oss den plattform vi behöver för samarbete och för gemensam säkerhet. Ensam står inte stark.

This week, 79 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, I am visiting the concentration camp alongside world leaders, rabbis, Elon Musk, and many others to remember, and to discuss the rising antisemitism in the world.
My grandfather, Chil, was born in 1915 and grew up in Grójec in Poland with his parents, a brother, and two sisters. When Hitler invaded Poland in 1939, parts of the town were turned into a ghetto, where 6,000 Jews were confined. In 1940, my grandfather managed to escape from the ghetto to his brother in the Soviet Union.
When the Grójec ghetto was closed in 1942, the prisoners, including my grandfather's family, were moved to the infamous Warsaw Ghetto. There, my great-grandfather died of starvation. I believe my grandfather's mother and sisters met their fate in the Treblinka extermination camp. I don’t know where the rest of the family was murdered.
To stand, 79 years later, at the place that symbolizes the hatred that led to the murder of over six million Jews, including large parts of my own family, is overwhelming. To suddenly not only have to accept this reality, but to also have an opportunity as a legislator to change our world, is a massive responsibility.
I have a responsibility not only because my own family was harmed and destroyed, which I saw the effects of during a long period of time, but also because young Jews today don’t dare to say that they are Jewish. It's not just about remembering for historical reasons, it's about remembering to ensure that history does not repeat itself.
Recognizing and combating antisemitism is an absolute necessity for Europe's Jews to live their lives in safety and security. To see and reveal the new faces of hatred following the Hamas attack on October 7th. To join other world leaders, and together declare that we do not accept the rising hatred.

Auschwitz conference today: education is key. We must educate Europeans!
Despite the long-standing presence of Jews in Europe, people have scant knowledge of Jewish life and Judaism. Currently, Holocaust denial, distortion and trivialisation are increasing and are often used to feed hatred against Jewish people.
At the same time, we have been paying for antisemitic school books inciting Palestinian students to hatred and jihad for many years. The Hamas terrorists were taught to hate Jews in school.

Med anledning av alla de frågor jag får idag så tänker jag svara här för att spara lite tid:
Jag ser precis lika mycket fram mot att göra nya saker i mitt liv framöver, som jag gjorde under senhösten och igår. Efter femton år som kommunalråd och Europaparlamentariker, så ser jag fram mot nya utmaningar. Jag kommer därför inte att kandidera på partifullmäktige.
Jag kommer givetvis även fortsättningsvis att jobba på med full energi för att förvalta det förtroende som jag fick av väljarna under den här mandatperioden.
Jag hoppas också att dagens presskonferens äntligen är den sista partiet behöver lägga på att prata om Sara Skyttedals agerande i alla möjliga frågor och att kommande dagar kommer att handla om politiken istället. Det förtjänar Kristdemokraternas alla medlemmar och de som arbetar oförtröttligt för partiet, för att göra vår omvärld lite bättre, ett steg i taget.

Jag tänkte låta bli att prata politik denna nyårsafton utan istället konstatera att 2023 verkligen har varit ett underbart och intensivt år för vår familj. ❤️
Flytt från Göteborg till Ystad och husköp med allt som hör till, har tagit väldigt mycket tid men varit bland det roligaste som jag har gjort. Nu börjar vi komma iordning och Ystad känns verkligen hemma för oss alla tre. 🏠
Själv fyllde jag 50 i höstas och efter ett spännande och utmanande år på jobbet så känner jag mig verkligen redo och förväntansfull inför vad den andra halvan av mitt liv har att erbjuda. 🥳😅
Nyårsfirandet blir avslappnat i år, då hela familjen har varit förkylda, så för oss så blir det lek och mys hemma i några dagar till. 🧸🪀🚂
Önskar er alla ett gott nytt år och hoppas att 2024 blir ett bättre år för världen än de senaste har varit! 🎇
