Great to meet Commodore of @Brixham_YC Richard Spreckley today and hear more about how Brixham could benefit from investment in its leisure marine industry, as seen in other Devon harbours. Creating jobs directly and indirectly related to increased boat & visitor numbers.

We're calling for Liz Truss to host an emergency summit with mortgage lenders in Number 10 this weekend.
The Conservatives have plunged our country into an economic crisis. Liz Truss needs to start fixing the chaos caused by her budget rather than swanning off to conference.

Dear @AnthonyMangnal1 - I'm sure I'm not the only constituent who would like a response from you on the attack on nature we've seen over the last week from your government.

My open letter

Wonder what the figures would be like if it was nurses’ pay rather than bankers’ bonuses that was being prioritised by the govt.

If we don’t get them out soon we’ll struggle to salvage what’s left of the NHS.

Agree. She clearly can't think on her feet, can't deviate from the script she's rehearsed and unlike Boris can't come up with a good yarn to at least try and cover up for the catastrophe she and Kwasi caused last week.

Inept and hopeless but also dangerous.

RT @FullFact: £2500 is *not* the maximum any family will pay on their energy bills this year.
We wrote to the PM about getting this wrong yesterday.

This morning, she’s repeated the false claim again in local BBC interviews.

The public deserves better.

RT @EdwardJDavey: Liz Truss must recall Parliament and set out what she'll do to fix this economic mess and stop people losing their homes.

We've heard from the Bank of England, but where on earth is the Prime Minister?

IMF tells UK to reevaluate its economic policy.
Levelling up now officially down the drain.

“The nature of UK measures will likely increase inequality.”

Did they forget to put Kwasi on Chancellor training 101, where you learn that crashing the economy in week 1 isn’t the goal?

It was a real pleasure spending time with you, seeing your electric fishing boat (we need more of them!) & eco lobster pots, learning about the constraints you are working under and meeting the guys mending their gear. Lots to think about and much to do. A very valuable afternoon
