This year will be decisive. Democracy is at stake in Europe. The threat of a coalition between EPP and the far right is concrete.

This would result in a backwards-looking EU, in which rule of law and fundamental rights would be rolled back. We as the S&D family stand united and ready to show our alternative of an open, inclusive and social Europe, in which future generations will have a chance to live freely and where no one will be left behind.
