An important discussion on women in transport was held today in the Committee on Transport and Tourism at the European Parliament. Currently only 20% of employees in the field of transport are women, and a much smaller number of them are in senior management positions. 1/x

This is largely due to a lack of consideration of women's needs and safety measures taken for employees in the sector. It is the responsibility of legislators and employers to enable women to apply and work for jobs in the transport sector. 2/x
