Egypt 🇪🇬 is a frontrunner in Middle East & North Africa with its campaign to protect the marine environment in the Red Sea.
This gives us hope ahead of #COP15.

With @ibrahimthiaw of @UNCCD we agree we need tangible action to restore land & fight deforestation as the world & Europe experience severe droughts especially this past summer.

The negotiations regarding the @UN High Seas Biodiversity Treaty have not yet lead to a deal despite the EU’s significant efforts & leadership.

Droughts have become our summer reality.
100 🇫🇷 municipalities have no running water, the 🇩🇪🇫🇷 Rhine’s levels are so low that threaten goods’ transportation & 🇳🇱 faces an official water shortage.
Restoring Nature is the best solution to change this.
