We all know the examples: your online order comes in a half-empty but massive box, or you eat at a cafe and get served in single-use containers, leaving behind a mountain of waste.
Such overpackaging is a nuisance to us and damaging to our environment.

1️⃣ We reduce packaging where it makes sense:
🟢 Limits on overpackaging for e-commerce
🟢 Unwrapped fruits and vegetables
🟢 No miniature shampoos in hotels

2️⃣ We need more #ReUse. Because we cannot recycle ourselves out of a growing stream of waste.
🟢 From 2030 food or drinks consumed on site must be offered on reusables.
🟢 From 2040 80% of coffees-to-go will come in a reusable cup - or in your own.

🟢 A single label for all packaging will tell you how and in which bin to recycle it.
🟢 Member States will have to implement deposit return schemes for plastic bottles and metal cans.
