It is our concern that the new protocol of this @coe treaty could violate fundamental rights. It allows authohrities to deliver EU-citizens’ #PersonalData across borders, also to states who do not comply with EU- #RuleofLaw or #DataProtecion standards, e.g. Azerbaidjan

It is our democratic right as a @EUparliament to request such judicial opinion. It is @EU_Commission duty to keep away from our decision-making processes. Today we will vote on the issue. I hope the indepedence of parliamentary process will prevail.
