NEW: GDP fell in May and showed no growth in the last three months.
The Tories seem determined to march us down a path of low growth and economic insecurity.
Labour will build a stronger economy so that working people get the future they deserve.

We will drive up standards for all our children, by ending the tax breaks private schools enjoy.
That is the choice Labour will make.

Wages are falling by 1.7%.
Public sector pay has fallen even faster at 3.1%.
And the Bank of England’s own data shows that any pay gains are being driven by the very HIGHEST earners.
Wages are not driving inflation.
This government must stop blaming workers for its failures.

But what this doesn't show is geography. The UK labour market is a postcode lottery. Your chances in life are heavily influenced by where you live. It is a major failure of 13 years of Tory government that their employment policies barely even recognise that reality.

I want to see more prosecutions for anti-social behaviour and stronger punishments, including strengthened community payback sentences - with a greater say for victims and communities.

With massive cuts under the Tory Govt to youth services, school budgets and other local services, so much work and effort to prevent crime and divert young people away from anti-social behaviour and crime has fallen away.
We need to rebuild this. t.co/RJRE2bxBRM

Re @lcssdetecting Wouldn’t disagree on importance of civic pride. Civic pride and personal responsibility integral, but believe we have to build civic pride collectively - individuals, public services and others - including through investing in local communities and services too.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Rory_Palmer/s

Re @lcssdetecting And see my other post today on need for increased prosecutions for ASB and strengthened use of community payback sentences. Enforcement needs more police and other agencies and investment in wider justice system, and that’s what I want to see.
