The Heritage Centre at the Synagogue really is a wonderful, special building. I’m really proud to have supported its development from the very first funding application through to it becoming a reality.

This should not be news.
But after 13 years of Tory Govt it’s news that so-called ‘Low level’ crimes will be investigated.
There’s no such thing as low level crimes - they are not low level to victims.
Under the Tories not enough police on the beat and charging rates collapsed.

After 13 Tory yrs, over 90% of crimes go unsolved
Huge drop in % of crimes solved & criminals charged. More criminals get off, more victims let down - abysmal Tory record on law & order.
Labour will boost detective recruitment & put more police on beat

Deadline for having your say on plans to close ticket offices at railway stations across Leics & Rutland has been extended. More below on why I think these plans are bad news for our area and will make people less likely to travel by train 👇

🚊Hinckley
🚊Melton Mowbray
🚊Oakham
🚊Loughborough
🚊Mkt Harborough
🚊Narborough
These plans should be scrapped.

Re This legislation changed the political and economic consensus for good - no one serious would try to repeal this now.
Not to say there aren’t big challenges in today’s labour market on low pay - there are and they must be tackled by the next Labour Government.
