I’m handling phone bids at today’s @NoonansAuctions medal sale. For me, the pick of the sale is this astonishing group of medals to Sgt. Logan of the Black Watch. Three times awarded the DCM, three times mentioned in despatches and a Russian Cross of St. George.

A very successful day yesterday. After trying since last Tuesday, to get through to my chemists by phone, I managed to order a repeat prescription - I feel like a winner!

@oflynnsocial And if they do better than suggested Pat, they’ll maybe have to consider offering Paul Kagame the freedom of a few boroughs across the country.

@DemocratSteve @Mbayliss14 That’s the beauty of democracy. We can agree to disagree in a civil manner. Such a shame that so many on here, from all sides, have trouble communicating as such. Best Wishes Jim

@DemocratSteve @Mbayliss14 Absolutely fine, and I say that as a non-Anglican. The beauty of the Monarchy is that it is not partisan. Abolish it and it’ll never be a President Attenborough or whoever, we’ll have a President Major or Blair, and half the country will already loathe them for political reasons

@UdallVoice @Mbayliss14 Well, you’re on a far better position than me to make such a proposal!

@UdallVoice @LA_Griffiths @DemocratSteve @Mbayliss14 It’s a shame you feel as you do on that, after so many years service, but I respect your view.

@DemocratSteve @Mbayliss14 I do Steve. The Lords is better suited for the moral arbiter approach. My concern is when faith leaders take active positions, it’s turned against them. A good example was the snipes aimed at Lord Jacobovits’ support for Mrs. T. whilst Chief Rabbi. It became a barrier for some.

@UdallVoice @Mbayliss14 Absolutely not Richard, prayer is important to me & some peace at the beginning of a meeting is a great leveller. My point is about politicians vs faith leaders. People of faith have opposing political views, yet still worship together. We should encourage that harmony. Best W JC

What a great football week for me - @CrayValleyPM qualify for the play offs and @WestHam are into the Europa League semi finals. Come on you Millers! Come on you Irons!

Today, looking at the news, I chuckle to myself and am reminded of my atheist father, (who wouldn’t vote), telling me that politics and religion should never be mixed.

@kazweida “The Man who would be King” by Rudyard Kipling - The story of a man’s obsessive pursuit of power and status, and the inevitable result of ignoring the counsel of those well qualified to offer such advice - A Kipling masterpiece.

RT @SebastianEPayne: Today’s Twitter discourse on Jesus, Easter and Rwanda could be a new pointless low. Literally no one is changing any minds. Maybe we should all get off this hellsite and enjoy this lovely day?

It’s a very busy time. Here’s four very good reasons, no matter our faiths, to put aside our differences: , Good
