36 yrs ago I lost my Mum. It’s funny how, even now, I still think ‘I must tell her that’. This isn’t a sad post craving sympathy, just expressing some very happy memories. I was truly blessed that she was the constant stability in my life, for my first 17 years. I owe her so much

Back from a lovely walk around the Severn & through my beautiful home city of #Worcester. I always stop & marvel at our Boer War Memorial outside @WorcCathedral. The quality of the casting really is something to behold. Easy to miss, but worth taking the time to stop & admire.

It’s #TrafalgarDay & #BlackHistoryMonth, so here’s a plaque on Nelson’s Column depicting one of our Black sailors who fought at Trafalgar. The Black naval pensioner in this 1854 photo is Richard Baker, who served in HMS Leviathan. We should teach kids this side of our history.
