All countries considering dismantling local hospitals and clinics for cost reasons should consider this dramatic increase of 20-25% due to heat-induced #hospitalizations in #Rome.
We are only at the very beginning of a chronical 7-year warm period caused by the #ElNiño phenomenon.
The @EU_Commission should pay heed and push for minimum standards in #EU Member States, e.g. maximum travel time to hospital or minimum number of healthcare staff and jospital beds per 1,000 people, etc.
