@eliz4davidson @greenparty_ie @ciarancuffe Hi Elizabeth! I am on the Fisheries Committee, but I am a substitute member so I do not have a vote. Our Group fully supports the measures allowing Member States to restrict fishing in inshore waters, and our vote reflected that.

@eliz4davidson @greenparty_ie @ciarancuffe I am also in regular contact with both Min. McConalogue and the Commission, pushing for the reinstatement of the ban on inshore trawling. I spoke in the Committee on marine restoration and protection today. It is a priority for my office.
