This morning, the Gas Coordination Group met and Commissioner @KadriSimson opened the event on the #GasStorage Regulation, in particular to discuss good practices of last year and how to ensure a 90% filling level for next year.

Together we managed to compensate reduced RU 🇷🇺 pipeline imports from 50% before the war, to less than 10% now. EU countries surpassed their storage targets in 2022 (filled over 95%) & Feb-23, as the EU reduced 19-20% of its gas demand (Aug-22 to Jan-23). https://europa.eu/!dTmqyY
