Delors, often hailed as the "architect of modern Europe," was not just a symbol to me, but a fatherly figure. His visionary leadership was the driving force that led me to Brussels in 1989, where I had the honor of working under his guidance for over 5 years.

The accomplishments of the single market, the European Union, and the Euro are undeniable, and I am immensely proud to have contributed, even in a small way, to this remarkable journey in history.
