The BioNTech (@BioNTech_Group) vaccines plant in 🇷🇼Rw will be a climate neutral factory. This is a testament to BioNTech’s commitment to go beyond European borders and fully resonates with the 🇪🇺#GlobalGateway to boost smart, clean and secure links in sectors including health.
Today 🇪🇺we witnessed together with @EIB the signature of a MoU between @BioNTech_Group and #IzubaEnergy. This new partnership will enable BioNTech's vaccine plant in 🇷🇼Rwanda to be carbon neutral. Renewable energies are at the core of the #GreenDeal ambitions of the 🇪🇺EU.
Today, #TeamEurope🇪🇺also handed over critical laboratory equipment to @RwandaFDA. With this equipment, Rwanda FDA will be able to ensure the safety, efficacy and quality of vaccines and pharmaceutical products.
