Countries need to present ambitious targets 🎯 & policies to achieve them. Especially major economies.
They must:
🔹present low GHG emissions strategies for net 0 emissions by 2050
🔹 take sustained & robust adaptation action
The #ocean 🌊 & #climatechange are closely connected:
🔹 🌊 is essential to regulate climate
🔹 🌊 is impacted by climate change
Ocean and climate actions must🤝.
But 🌐 climate action remains insufficient.
We need increased high & aligned 🌐 climate & biodiversity ambitions.
