#EDPS issued in 2021 a record high number of 88 opinions/comments on legislative proposals, compared to 27 in 2020 which shows an increasing recognition of the importance of #dataprotection across #EUlaw. @EP_Justice
#EDPS wants strong #EUinstitutions. Strength can however only be based on full respect for the applicable laws. High level of compliance in respect of #dataprotection is therefore expected. This has resulted in the regular use of corrective powers by the EDPS in 2021. @EP_Justice
