In the aftermath of the devastating #earthquakes that struck Türkiye and Syria earlier this week, the EU is running one of its largest search and rescue operations through the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism to help save as many lives as possible.

First offers by 🇪🇺 EU countries include tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, beds, food, winter clothing, and more.
Today, @WFP_Syria also activated the Mechanism to channel further aid.

New support includes temporary accommodation units, beds and tents from the #rescEU strategic reserves hosted by 🇸🇪🇷🇴.
This comes on top of 38 search and rescue and medical teams offered by 21 EU countries together with 🇦🇱🇲🇪🇷🇸.
