@mr_chris_tattoo Substances restricted have properties that can lead to serious health hazards, e.g. carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, reproductive toxicity, skin sensitisation and corrosion as indicated by their EU classification. Many are already regulated in other consumer products in the EU.

@mr_chris_tattoo @europarl_en 2/2 - REACH Regulation requires companies to present safety data for their substances - shifting the burden of proof from authorities to industry. This shift was required to get data on chemicals more swiftly and to speed up regulation to protect people and the environment.
