Rocco Chinnici was assassinated by the Mafia, alongside 3 innocent others, 40 years ago today.
To prevent violence from unseating order, we must remember those who lost their lives fighting against the corrupt. Chinnici serves at once as an example, and a warning against omertà.

When the police raided his house, Muscat complained of needless theatrics used to humiliate him. With evidence of corruption and money laundering, it's no wonder he is so desperate to challenge the judiciary at every turn. Letting the institutions work only when it suits him.

Today marks 31 years since Giovanni Falcone's assassination. His murder was an unambiguous message, that anyone challenging the Mafia's grip on power should be petrified.
If we don't fight the Mafia, it grows. Falcone's legacy remains a lesson for those who care about justice.
