Malta's police commissioners have continually asserted themselves to be a key failure in the fight against corruption. No better evidence of state capture than its failure to raid a state agency in connection with a Montenegro corruption probe on order of an inquiring magistrate.

Maltese courts confirmed the multimillion euro betrayal of Malta's patients. For years, we have known who is responsible yet no prosecution has been forthcoming.

Government action against @TheShiftNews is tantamount to the harassment of the press in #Malta.
