They just barely escaped Khan Younis after 2 days of being surrounded by IDF ground troops & enduring heart stopping bombardment from the air, land and sea. They finally made it to the southern city of Rafah. My aunt and two of her children are still in K.Y. & are surrounded by IDF troops at the Amal hospital - they have been unable to leave the scene after being separated from the rest of her family. The perilous escape from Khan Younis is yet another chapter in this never ending horror of bombardment, death, destruction, displacement, rinse & repeat. Millions of Gazans are suffering horrendously due to circumstances & conditions over which they have no control.
