Here's a Swiss style democratic deal I would entertain. A Referendum on UK leaving ECHR at the same time as one on UK rejoining EU. 60% majority required to make either result binding on Parliament. A legally incompatible result of leaving ECHR and Rejoining EU would be ignored.
