@BillyKelleherEU and I could not vote in favour of the resolution on the conflict in Gaza due to the inclusion of conditionality clauses by the @EPP re a permanent ceasefire in #Gaza.

Other progressive amendments were also defeated - this does not reflect our views nor those of the Irish people.

No conditionality should be attached to a ceasefire - the people of Gaza need a ceasefire now #CeasefireNOW.

Israel cannot continue the bombardment of innocent civilians in Palestine. The EU cannot stand by.
