The Arab and Muslim world desperately needs an internal social revolution. It starts with women. We need to stop sexualizing women and little girls and instead see them as the beautiful, capable human beings that they are. Women are not objects of honor for men.

When our women have the opportunity to educate themselves, they will raise strong and respectful boys and girls who don't need to worship fairy tales from the Middle Ages.

I will never change my name. I would rather die trying to change our culture instead.
