RT @ScotNational: 🗣 'Membership of the EU and the single market is not a prison to escape from, it is a platform upon which to shine'

MP @AlynSmith writes that it's heartening to see the SNP leadership candidates' unity on a plan for rejoining the EU

The Tory-Labour @StirlingCouncil budget has a range of services cuts and fee hikes.

I've been contacted by constituents particuarly shocked at a reported 300% increase in allotment rents in Bridge of Allan - they've organised a petition for a re-think:

@pjryan51 Sure, I could see that, and there’s no perfect system, but I don’t see any good news in here for you either. We need to change the model entirely, which has to involve EU membership and long term financial perspectives all round.

This is an important piece so will get nowhere near the attention it deserves. If our biggest pressing need is to sustainably grow our economy, (whether you frame that as Scottish or UK) then the UK government is doing everything wrong, and the EU and US will do us no favours.
RT @rcolvile: In summary: Britain is about to go off a business tax cliff edge. The govt may think it can't afford to help. But with Bank of England forecasting 5.5% fall in business investm…

🛑 There will be a further surge in fuel poverty if the UK Government doesn't take urgent action.

⚡️ Winding down state support, causing increased household bills before falling wholesale prices can filter through, is poor policy.

Fair play to her (and on this video I don’t see any heckling). An honest assessment of the deep trouble we’re in is to be welcomed. Now let’s move on to how we get to solutions, and I’ll work with anyone towards them.
RT @indy_swim: .@ScotTories' Roz McCall trying to find one benefit of Brexit to Scotland ends up with her being heckled by the audience and the panel. 😂😂😂😂

My letter on behalf of @theSNP to the Prime Minister seeking the same advantages for Scotland that Northern Ireland has achieved. If we agree Single Market membership is so great, why not Scotland?

EU single market access is a great thing that would put rocket boosters on Scotland’s economy. If Northern Ireland can have it (and good luck to them) why not Scotland? - ⁦@Daily_Record⁩ dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politic

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 UK PM’s praise of NI’s enviable position within the SM will stick in the throats of Scots; 62% voted to stay in EU.

❌ Whilst @thesnp welcomes the Windsor Framework, Brexit continues to impact Scotland daily.

❓ Questions remain over how the deal will function in practice.

The European Social Fund (@EU_Social) helped to support fantastic educational and training programmes across Scotland. Poor to hear the Minister swerve the question on whether the UK Government will commit to replacing those lost funds in full.
